Thys Nywerheid is a South African based Big beat artist. His music is a fusion of rock, big beat and boere kwaito. Thys Nywerheid suffers from a rare mental disorder called GAD (Guitar Abuse Disorder) This disorder causes the GAD sufferer to relentlessly abuse any stringed instrument and then record and/or perform the results of these actions and exhibit them to the public. Since his premature release from a mental institution TN is frequently seen (and heard) abusing musical instruments and other objects that produce interesting sounds. Apart from trying to cope with this serious mental disorder TN also acts as a cultural terorist. Thys Nywerheid is toevalig afrikaans maar dit maak nie regtig saak nie. Dis net nog 'n taal. Hy kon net so wel Swahili gewees het. Thys Nywerheid celebrate dus die toevaligheid van sy afrikanerskap en nie die hoedanigheid van sy afrikanerskap nie.
